Disrupt Education Podcast
Disrupt Education was born from a moment that changed everything. After a transformative EF Tour through Europe in 2015, founder Peter Hostrawser saw students taking ownership of their learning in ways traditional classrooms rarely allow. Combined with the influence of visionary thinkers like Sir Ken Robinson, the experience sparked a powerful realization: education was built for a different era, and students deserve something more relevant, human, and connected to the real world.
What began as one educator’s passion project quickly evolved into a global platform dedicated to challenging outdated systems and elevating bold new ideas in learning. Peter set out to amplify the voices of students, educators, entrepreneurs, and innovators who are actively reshaping education through authentic experiences, durable skills, and meaningful connections to the world beyond school walls.
Today, the Disrupt Education Podcast has released more than 425 episodes and reached over 600,000 downloads worldwide. The show features conversations with thought leaders, change-makers, and learners who are pushing boundaries and redefining what success in education can look like. From work-based learning and career readiness to AI, entrepreneurship, and human-centered education, every episode is designed to inspire action and rethink the future of learning.
Disrupt Education is more than a podcast. It is a movement focused on helping students build confidence, discover purpose, develop durable skills, and take ownership of their future in a rapidly changing world.
